#6 Montabi Devlog Updates
It's time for another exciting update on our game development progress. We've made significant strides in moving from the prototype phase to the vertical slice phase. In this phase, we've started assembling everything and began with the battle mechanic.
It's Start Come Together
We're proud to announce that we've started drawing the final assets and animating them. We've also implemented skills, VFX, and designed the UI. Everything is starting to come together quite nicely, and we're excited to share our progress with you.
In this devlog, we want to share some of the idle animations we've created and the first preview of our progress in the gameplay video. We've decided to implement two monsters first: the Fire Hydrant and Samurai Corgi. We wanted to capture the excitement of being in the middle of a sports competition, but at this stage, without SFX and music, that excitement isn't quite there yet.
Overall, we're thrilled with how everything is starting to come together. We've improved the battle mechanic significantly and started iterating with friends and followers to get their opinions on our current gameplay video.
What Next
We're happy to say that the team is now starting to implement training to complete the vertical slice. We're confident that this will help us improve our game's overall experience and make it more enjoyable for everyone.
As usual, we invite you to follow us on our Twitter and Discord channels to stay up-to-date with our progress. We welcome your thoughts and feedback, and we're excited to hear from you.
